1. Our Process: From Request to Delivery
- Submit Engine Request:
– Fill out our online form with your engine specs (make/model/year or VIN). - Agent Contact & Binding Quote:
– Autopartweb sales representative will call you after submission of form.
– We’ll call you within 24 business hours with:
– Engine availability & category (A/B/C)
– All-in price (engine + crating + freight) / Part availability.
– Declared Value Coverage options
– Quote expires in 72 hours.
- Place Order:
– Payment secures your engine. Delivery timeline starts ONLY after payment. - Processing & Shipping:
– We source, inspect, and crate your engine.
– Freight carrier contacts YOU to schedule delivery.
2. Shipping Method & Address Requirements
– 🚚 Freight Shipping ONLY:
Engines ship via specialized freight carriers (DHL, UPS, Fedex).
– 🏭 COMMERCIAL ADDRESS MANDATORY:
– NO residential addresses, apartments, or PO Boxes.
– Delivery ONLY to locations with:
– Loading dock OR forklift
– Business name and physical address (no freight forwarders).
– Driver Assistance PROHIBITED:
Drivers will not unload engines. You must provide equipment/personnel.
Address Requirements: (Conditional)
– While a commercial address isn’t mandatory in following conditions for your engine delivery, we require either:
– Confirmation that your location has adequate unloading equipment (e.g., forklift/crane), or
– Verification that the assigned carrier truck has an onboard forklift.
– Our dispatch team will contact you 24 hours before delivery to confirm unloading capabilities. Final delivery approval depends on this safety verification.
3. Timeline Expectations
Your Engine Delivery Timeline

We’ll call you after you submit your request.
2. Processing & Crating
Premium Engines (A): 3–7 business days
Standard Engines (B/C): 1–3 business days
3. Freight Delivery
It takes up to 21 business days after we ship your engine.
Total Time (After Payment): Expect 3–4+ weeks for full delivery.
⚠️ Delays Possible: Weather, carrier issues, or customs (for cross-state) may extend timelines.
4. Costs & Fees Explained
1. Crating Fee
$120 flat fee per engine (non-refundable)
Protects your engine during transit
2. Freight Charges
Final cost provided in your agent’s quote
Based on engine weight, delivery distance, and carrier rates
3. Declared Value Coverage
Category A Engines: Required
Category B/C Engines: Strongly Recommended
(Note: Standard carrier liability is only $0.50 per pound if you decline coverage)
5. Receiving Your Engine
Failure to comply VOIDS warranty:
- INSPECT BEFORE SIGNING:
– Check crate for damage (dents, punctures, water).
– Note damage on the Bill of Lading + take photos.
– REFUSE severely damaged shipments. - REPORT CONCEALED DAMAGE:
– Within 24 hours of delivery: Email photos/video to info@autopartweb.com. - INSTALLATION DEADLINES:

6. Warranty & Returns
Category A Engines:
- Warranty: 60 days
- Returns: Allowed with 15% restocking fee + customer pays return shipping
- Core Returns: Required in original condition
Category B Engines:
- Warranty: 30 days
- Returns: Allowed with 20% restocking fee + customer pays return shipping
- Core Returns: Required in original condition
Category C Engines (AS-IS):
- Warranty: 14 days (no extensions)
- Returns: NO RETURNS • ALL SALES FINAL
- Core Returns: Accepted in any condition
7. Damage Claims & Liability
– Declared Value Coverage is your primary protection. We facilitate claims but aren’t liable for carrier negligence.
– Claims Process:
1. Report damage within 24 hours (with evidence).
2. We file a claim with the carrier (30–60 day resolution).
3. Replacement/refund depends on claim approval.
– No Coverage? Maximum compensation: $0.50 per pound (e.g., $150 for a 300-lb engine).
8. Address Changes & Cancellations
– Address Changes: Contact us IMMEDIATELY. Changes after crating/shipping incur $200+ fees.
– Cancellations:
– Within 1 hour of payment: Full refund.
– After crating starts: $120 crating fee forfeited.
